Good day everyone!
This month I spent an entire week in the Bay Area, specifically San Francisco, Oakland, and San Jose California. A pretty cool part about this trip was that this very week was Super Bowl 50, which was hosted in San Francisco.
Check me out at the NFL Experience!

Besides taking part in all of the Super Bowl festivities, I had to do the most important aspect of traveling, wandering around. Majority of my time was spent in San Francisco, so of course I had to see one of the most popular landmarks in the city, the Golden Gate Bridge.
With a little help from Google, I researched several different tourist stops that had the best possible view of the Golden Gate Bridge. After my search, I came across the Fort Point location. Once I arrived, the scenery was just mesmerizing. Although there were several places to choose from, I felt that this particular spot was ideal.

At Fort Point, I started off on a hilltop where I could view the Golden Gate Bridge from a higher outlook. Perfect for travel photography shots, group photos, or even for taking some really nice selfies with the bridge in the background.

From the top the hill, there was a steep and lengthy trail that led all the way down to a dock right along a shore. Great spot to view the Golden Gate Bridge from a lower perspective and to capture more in-depth shots of the bridge.
Side note: If you’re like me and tend to get freaked out by steep slopes, be prepared to conquer them walking on this trail. It was a little scary at first, but once I got down the extremely deep inclines I was perfectly fine. I would advise to walk very slowly and wear comfortable shoes that are not slippery at the bottom of the sole. The last thing you want to do is slip and fall on your ass, EMBARASSING! Haha.
I believe, the amount time it took for me to walk down to the dock was around 10-15 minutes. It may take some people a shorter amount of time, but I wasn’t really worried at all about the walking distance. That beautiful setting took up my entire attention span.
Once I reached the shore, I fell in love! As I made my way onto the dock, to the left of me was the Golden Gate Bridge directly in my face and to the right was downtown San Francisco. I glanced ahead out onto the ocean and I could clearly see all of the sailing boats, ferries, seagulls, and even a few islands, such as the one that holds the infamous Alcatraz prison. It was amazing!

If you plan to visit San Francisco for the first time, Fort Point is the perfect place to get a great view of the Golden Gate Bridge and of the city. For all my photography lovers out there, this spot will not be a disappointment to do all your moment capturing. You will be able to get amazing shots from various angles. It’s also a pretty chilled spot to come and relax with your family, friends, or even by yourself.
The park is only opened on weekends, Friday through Sunday at 10 am- 5 pm, and the best part about it is that it’s absolutely FREE of charge!
Well I hope you all find this post inspiring, helpful, and/or amusing.
God Bless 🙂
