Transportation:

  • Most resorts typically have shuttle services for guests to be transported to and from the airport. As far as taxi rides, your hotel will provide those and it was quite easy to catch a cab when needed. Taxi rides cost no more than 15 bucks and if you’re traveling with a group it’s fairly cheap.

Tips While in Cabo San Lucas Mexico:

  • If you plan on traveling with a group to a tourist city similar to Cabo, I’d highly recommend booking through a travel agent; it will take off a load of stress. Through an agent, we booked our flight and resort 6 months in advance for a group of 8 people. If you’d like a referral for a travel agent, just shoot me an email!
  • Booking at an all-inclusive resort is one of the best ways to save money. That way you don’t have to worry about purchasing food and especially alcoholic beverages. What I loved about the Pueblo Bonito Rose was how they provided several dining options to choose from, so we didn’t grow sick and tired of the food.
  • Being that Cabo is a tourist city, there’s no need to convert your money into pesos.
  • Make sure to bring a lot of cash, but only carry a small amount at a time. I had a budget of $300 for 5 days and each day I carried $30-40 on me and kept to rest locked in a safe in my hotel room. This will help tremendously to avoid going over your limit and you may even have extra money left over after your trip.
  • Piggybacking off the previous tip, carrying small amounts of money also helps with negotiating low-price excursions, massages, souvenirs, and other beach accessories. My best bargain was a 30-45 minute jet-ski ride that cost $17.50.
  • Cabo isn’t the best place for solo travel or wondering off alone. So make sure you’re with a group or at least have a plus 1. I’ve heard too many stories of people losing their friends and/or family members.
  • Last but certainly not least, spend some quality time along the beach either early in the morning or late in the evening. In my opinion, those are the best times to reflect, relax, or reminisce with your loved ones over a few drinks.

Hope you all find this guide helpful. 🙂
