It’s Black History month and I wanted to dedicate a blog post to an important cause, the “Buy Black” campaign. For those who are not familiar with it, the “Buy Black” movement has been around for decades geared towards supporting black-owned businesses in order to strengthen the economic wealth of black communities as a whole. I’m all for supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs, especially those that are black-owned or any other minority-owned business.

As a travel blogger, I share experiences that I encounter in every city I visit and one of the main aspects I like to highlight are all of the restaurants I enjoy. In my opinion, everyone wants to know where to get delicious food when traveling. Well I figured as a way to contribute to the “Buy Black” movement, I’ve decided to share a list of some black-owned restaurants in my hometown, Houston Texas. This list is a compilation of a variety of food selections ranging from: Southern Cuisine, Ethiopian, Jamaican, Cajun, Vegan, and more. Below I provided the names, addresses, and websites of the 15 restaurants listed so you can choose to support which ever one suits your preference.

Hope you all enjoy…
